Three thousand Santa Clauses will be running through the center of Saint Petersburg this New Year!
On December 22, in the city’s main square, professional athletes and amateurs will organize a New Year sprint- a run in Santa Clause costumes. The starting line will be in the Arch of the General Staff Building and the finish line will be in Palace Square. Our most beloved and famous Santa Claus from Veliky Ustyug will open the run.
Participation is open to anyone and everyone – from ages 4 to 80 years old you could be a potential athlete and of course Santa Claus.
Upon registration and payment of the fee, each participant will be given Santa Claus hat, jacket, trousers, belt and last but not least a big white beard. The organizers will also provide a cloakroom, private room and hot tea, lest you freeze from Father Frost’s touch.
The distance of the main race will be 2500 meters and will pass through the streets adjacent to Palace Square. For the younger, budding athletes a “Children’s Start” will be put in place – 300 m around the main square.
Medals, prizes, gifts and a wonderful time are all guaranteed!
