May 31, 2018, in the Ice Palace the world famous duo of cellists 2Cellos will perform.
In 2011, their music video for Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal became a real Youtube sensation. Thanks to their charisma, expressionism, and vibrant energy, they collected more than 27 million views. These two Croatian virtuosos with excellent classical training, cellists Luka Schulich and Stepan Hauser equally brilliantly perform pieces from academic repertoires, film music and rock classics.
2Cellos have performed for Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace, at a gala concert in honour of the anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen, at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and many other prestigious events. On their last album “Score”, recorded along with the London Symphonic Orchestra, they chose to play the masterpieces of film music such as the title theme from Game of Thrones and the song My Heart Will Go On from Titanic not to mention the brilliant works of Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone. “We love cinema music,” says Stepan Houser, “on this album we collected a few favourite pieces written by our favourite composers. The opportunity to arrange them for a cello and work with the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra was a real gift from fate. “
